Looking for engaging activities to work the Life Cycle of the Plants in Spanish?
This set of activities was created to provide students with multiple, engaging, hands-on opportunities to learn and practice Math and Literacy concepts, as well as vocabulary words, through the study of the Life Cycle of the Plants in the Spanish Language. All activities are aligned to Common Core Learning Standards.

Plants in Spanish Memory Game/ Find the Match

Students can use the cards to play the traditional Memory Game or to Find the Match, by going around the classroom to find another person with the same card.
 

Plants Life Cycle Puzzles

This activity could be used both as independent and/or Centers. Students arrange the puzzle pieces to form the Life Cycle of a plant. Four versions included: 3 different color puzzles to be used in Centers and 1 B&W to work as an independent activity.
 

Plants in Spanish Connect 4 Board Game

This activity could be used as an independent and/or Centers. Students throw the provided dice and cover the picture that has the initial sound shown on the dice. The student that makes a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line of 4, wins the game.
 

Plants in Spanish Dominoes

This is a Centers/Small group activity. Each player gets 5 domino cards. The rest of the cards are placed face down in the table. The first player placed any domino card face up in the center of the table. The next player has to find a matching card to add. If so, he/she places it on the table next to the other card. If not, they take a new card for the center pile. If a match is made, it can be played. If not, the turn is over and it’s the next player’s turn. The player without any domino cards wins the game!
 

Plant Life Cycle Mini Book

In this mini book, students use transitional words (Primero, Luego, Después, Finalmente) to write the different parts of the life cycle of a plant. 2 versions: 1 with pictures and one blank for students to draw the life cycle of a plant.
 

How to care for a Plant Mini Book

In this mini book, students use transitional words (Primero, Luego, Después, Finalmente) to write what they can do to take care of a plant.
 

Long & Short

In this independent activity, students identify short and long math concepts in Spanish.
 

Measuring the Garden

In this independent activity, students use an inch unit to measure the different given objects.
 

Plant Life Cycle Wheel

Students complete the wheel, naming the stages of the life cycle. Multiple versions included for easy differentiation.
 

Writing Prompts

For opinion writing.
 
All activities are great for visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners.
